I was always interested in interactive theatre. The idea of the audience being invited to be part of the performance instead of just observing it always fascinated me. It all started with the idea that everything is based on what we can feel, smell, taste and see. For instance, “apple” is only a word, five letters put in a particular order and nothing more. What actually makes an apple be an apple as we understand it, is the image of it, the texture and form that it has, the smell that sprays the air when you bite it, the taste that stays in your mouth and naturally the sound of it when you crunch it. I wanted the audience to be able to experience something more than just vision and sound during a performance, something that could stimulate all of their senses.
